Goro Akechi from a world in which he "won" the game by killing Akira and placing Shido as Prime Minister only to have no one listen to him - least of all Shido - afterwards. The masses no longer needed a Detective Prince when they had a leader to follow blindly, and although he never tried to go into the Depths to fight the Holy Grail, he still sees Mementos emerging into reality... and starts to fade away just as the Thieves would have done.

Except that before he can fade completely, victory impossible at this point, a blue butterfly gives him a new option.
